Board and Brew

Board and Brew-

Of all the local owned restaurants, not including fast food chains, one of the best spots would have to be Board and Brew. The main product of Board and Brew would have to be its delicious and filling sandwiches along with other main courses such as salads, grilled wraps, and soups. Side orders include potato salad, potato chips, and baked chocolate chip cookies.

With locations in Del Mar and Carlsbad, there's enough Board and Brew to go around for any sandwich loving patron in North County. Being just a three minute walk from the ocean, the Del Mar location is a great place for anyone who wants to grab a might to eat after a morning or afternoon of waves or a hungry family that didn’t pack enough in the picnic basket for an entire day at the beach. To fit the needs of anyone who doesn’t want to drive to Del mar, the new Carlsbad location is great also because it can bring a little piece of the beach to any inland Carlsbad, San Marcos, or Escondido resident.

While all of Board and Brew’s sandwiches are a delicious, filling, and well priced break from Subway, the one sandwich that stands out among all of Board and Brew’s products it the famous Turkado. The Turkado, a combination of the words turkey and avocado, is a large sandwich filled with onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, jack cheese, and, of course, turkey and avocado. Another sandwich, the Turkado’s sister, is the Tub o’ Tuna. This sandwich is identical to the Turkado in every way except that tuna is used instead of turkey hence its name. Other choices include grilled items that include three kinds of grilled chicken sandwich and one of beef. And of course at both locations there are always fountain drinks that include free refills.

Board and Brew is a great local owned sandwich stop. So next time you’re in Del Mar village or along Palomar Airport Road stop by a Board and Brew and have a Turkado.
